FPV Day Feb 26th 2006

6.15 am Sunday Morning and l get a text message from Bruce ARE U GOING? .

YEP IT'S NOT RAINING HERE l reply .

OK C U AT THE SERVO .says Bruce .

So in 15 mins we meet at the BP servo Hampton Park

By now it was pissing down .

Bruce gets out of his Cobra and say's " what do you call this??"

Oh come on mate l say , the guy on the radio says clearing showers so it should be OK .

So off we go , as we get onto the Fwy the rain has not stopped , in fact it rained all the way to the Burnley tunnel . the next stop was the have Breaky at Mc D's on Sydney Road just near Ford where we were to meet up with Dale . and to watch the never ending steam of new BA GT'S, heading up to their birth place FPV Headquarters for the 9th FPV OPEN DAY .

While eating, my phone rang and it was Mark Pace asking what time he and his John Goss had to be there , we told him not to worry as there would be plenty of time and that we would save him a place.

We had a great spot this year , right up the front near the main gate so the flow of spectators through out the day was never ending. We were also near a tap as our two cars were almost brown and needed to be cleaned before the public was allowed to enter
So in the end 4 of our club cars were on display .

A big thank you to Bruce, Dale and Mark, Stephanie & Caden for braving the weather and a special thanks to Dale for cooking the BBQ lunch .

Cheers.
